Newly extended Larder is buzzing

Updated: Apr 23, 2019

A clean, green slap on the back for The Larder, which has become the first eatery on the High Street to join the Wild Wanstead movement. As part of the cafe's recent extension, the planters that enclose the pavement seating area have been updated with an array of pollinator-friendly plants that are making it the wildest place to be seen on the High Street. Native species have been selected to encourage biodiversity, including hardy geraniums (cranesbill), sage, cowslips and asters. They should provide plenty of flowers later this year once they've settled into their new home.
